NEW HAVEN, CT. (WFSB) - Police are searching for the suspect in a robbery in New Haven Wednesday evening.

Police say that at around 7:02 p.m., officer responded to a Arethusa Farm Dairy store located on Chapel Street for the incident.

A witness said that a black male entered the store, took the tip jar, and exited the store.

An employee attempted to stop the man outside, who then assaulted them and pulled out a pocket knife.

The suspect is described as a black male around 30-35 years old, 5′10″ tall and with a goatee. He was last wearing a red hooded jean jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, and a black backpack.

No arrests have been made.
