I-80 eastbound lanes closed due to major crash near Mitchellville

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) - A serious crash has closed the eastbound lanes of I-80 near Mitchellville.

The DOT says the road is close due a serious crash that included a vehicle on fire.

The crash took place between Exit 149 and Exit 155, near Mitchellville.

At 10:20 p.m., Google reported a 3-minute delay in traffic.

The Iowa State Patrol has closed the area and is asking the public to avoid the area.
