Emmaus High School junior midfielder Sophia Shutkufski scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against Parkland on Wednesday night.

But Shutkufski didn’t think she was the Green Hornets’ star of the game.

“She was awesome. She was our MVP," Shutkufski said of senior goalkeeper Sadie Wallace . “She really kept us in the game and really held the back line back there.”

Shutkufski chipped in the golden goal with 7:36 remaining in double overtime off an assist from junior forward Lizzie Bender and Wallace recorded 11 saves in Emmaus’ 2-1 home victory over the Trojans.
