WEST VIEW, Pa. —

PennDOT will examine a West View corridor at the request of the borough, following a deadly crash two weeks ago.

“Since I’ve been here, while I’m home, I have seen probably five accidents, and that’s just within the year that I’ve been here, and only when I’m home to witness it,” said Vicky Chang. “I think it says a lot about how dangerous the street is.” Advertisement

Chang witnessed the aftermath of a fatal crash outside of her Highland Avenue home the morning of Sept. 25.

According to authorities, 19-year-old Addie Maiette was killed when she tried to pass another driver. Chang’s parked car was totaled in the collision.
