LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. — The Lafourche Parish District Attorney’s Office says Louisiana State Police’s report on the fatal crash involving Kyren Lacy, “has several inconsistencies,” and disputes many of the claims made by LSP.
Findings compiled by the DA's office and obtained by WWL Louisiana Wednesday concluded that “the evidence submitted in the crash report does not support that Kyren Lacy should have known that his actions were the cause of the crash.”
The district attorney’s office confirms that Lacy passed four vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, while driving 88 mph in a 40 mph zone. But the D.A.'s findings support claims made by Lacy’s attorney that Lacy was back in the correct lane and 72 yards behind the collision that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall.
