BERLIN (Reuters) -Sentiment among German CEOs continued to deteriorate this year and is more negative on the economic outlook and company prospects than in other countries, a survey by KPMG showed on Thursday.

Only 72% of CEOs in Germany expect their company to grow over the next three years, lower than the 77% in 2024, 80% in 2023, and 90% in 2022.

International executives are more optimistic, with 79% of them expecting their companies to grow over the same period, the survey of 1,350 executives globally showed.

Confidence in the global economic outlook also dipped, with the survey showing that 68% of CEOs are confident in the trajectory of the world economy, down from 72% last year, continuing a long-term downward trend.

In Germany, it fell to 64% from 69% last year.

Some 75% of the German CEOs surveyed said they were confident about growth prospects for Europe's biggest economy in the next three years.
