WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - One Kansas veteran, who spent two decades in the Air Force and loved nearly every minute of it, says serving her country gave her a second family.
"I grew up in the country with C-130s from Pittsburgh Air National Guard flying overhead every day," said Toni Maehann-Kolb.
Those C-130s turned out to be a literal sign from above for the Steubenville native. That's the first aircraft she was assigned to after completing her training as an aviation resource management specialist.
"I dove into the Air Force with a good attitude. It was the best decision I ever made," Maehann-Kolb said.
