Fresh details have emerged in the tragic death of senior IPS officer Y Puran Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), who died by suicide at his private residence in Sector 11 here on Tuesday.
According to sources, investigators recovered an eight-page typed suicide note, along with a half-page will, from the crime scene. The will stated that all his material assets would be transferred to his wife Amneet P Kumar.

The note, described as a “through and detailed” account, traced Kumar’s professional journey and reflected deep frustration over his career trajectory, transfers and treatment within the police hierarchy.
