BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office reports it is investigating a shooting after a man was found dead on Wednesday.

Deputies said they responded to Kreston Drive near the Madison County line around 6 p.m. for a report of a gunshot wound. William Jennings Brian Clay III, 55, was found dead.

Officials said this is an isolated incident. Information about a suspect has not yet been released.

The Buncombe County Criminal Investigation Division and the Crime Scene Investigation Team are investigating the incident.
