Party like it’s 2016.

The Blue Jays are going back to the American League championship series (ALCS) for the first time in nine years after they rolled past the New York Yankees 5-2 Wednesday, winning the series three-games-to-one.

Toronto will have to wait until Friday to know their matchup, which will be the winner of Game 5 between the Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers , though their schedule has already been set.

As the top seed in the American League, the Jays earned home-field advantage and will play the first two games of the best-of-seven series at the Rogers Centre on Thanksgiving Sunday (Oct. 12) and Monday (Oct. 13). Baseball Opinion
