No. 22 Iowa State will look to shake off its first loss of the season when the Cyclones face Colorado in a Big 12 matinee Saturday in Boulder, Colo.
Colorado hopes to have coach Deion Sanders on the sideline. Sanders underwent a four-hour procedure to remove blood clots from his left leg on Tuesday and returned to practice on Wednesday.
Prior to the procedure, Sanders told reporters that he was "hurting like crazy" during last Saturday's 35-21 loss at TCU. He also said he would coach the team against Iowa State.
Cyclones coach Matt Campbell said a 38-30 loss at Cincinnati last week came down to a lack of execution in all three phases. Iowa State fell behind 31-7 before a second-half rally came up short.
