Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda was cremated at the Government School ground in his native village of Pona near Jagraon in Ludhiana district — a place where he had played as a child and later performed concerts during his career.

Thousands of fans, including prominent figures from the music industry and art lovers, joined the funeral procession from the Jawanda residence to the school ground to bid a final farewell to the cop-turned-singer.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, along with his cabinet colleagues, visited the Jawanda residence to offer condolences to the grieving family.

Babbu Maan, Kulwinder Billa, Kanwar Grewal, Pukhraj Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, and Malkit Rauni were among dozens of stars from the Punjabi music industry who paid tribute to Rajvir at his residence.
