GLADSTONE Ore. (KPTV) - Wednesdays are officially pantry days at Kraxberger Middle School, now that the Gladstone Food Pantry has moved its operations there. The pantry reopened for shopping this afternoon.

This fall, the Gladstone Food Pantry closed operations at Hillside Christian Fellowship after the church decided to sell the property to new owners.

The nonprofit had operated out of the church for about three years.

“We had to stay in the city of Gladstone, which is about a 4-square-mile radius, so finding another location that could accommodate the space we needed to serve the number of people we had was a bit of a challenge,” said Alex Van Pelt, manager of the Gladstone Food Pantry.
