Fire crews from multiple agencies were able to stop the progress of the fire that ignited on Rattlesnake Ridge, holding it to a footprint of 118 acres.

Officials from Benton County Fire District #2 reported that firefighters were first notified of the incident around 2:27 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Upon dispatching a Duty Chief to the scene, air resources were requested due to the fire's growth and smoke column, as well as the Rattlesnake area's history of fires.
