LOS ANGELES -- Lefty reliever Tanner Scott was away from the team for personal reasons during Game 3 of the NL Division Series , manager Dave Roberts said after the Dodgers' 8-2 loss to the Phillies on Wednesday night.

"Tanner was not at the ballpark today," Roberts said. "There was something going on. Personal. It will come out later, but he was completely unavailable."

Roberts did not say whether Scott would be available later in the series, which the Dodgers lead 2-1.

Scott's absence was felt late in Wednesday's game, when Roberts tried to get another inning of relief out of Clayton Kershaw.
