The Northern Territory government is ignoring requests to release rules for its taxpayer-funded chauffeur service, as the chief minister claims trips to a pizza shop and golf club were above board.

NT ministers and opposition leader are able to use the so-called "white car" chauffeur service for official business.

But the rules around using the service are unclear.

Last Monday, the ABC obtained all VIP logs between February and March following a months-long Freedom of Information (FOI) battle.

It forced Opposition Leader Selena Uibo to confess she had misused the service on several occasions for personal trips.

Ms Uibo has repaid the $655 in private travel, which included trips to Darwin restaurants and a medical centre.
