Kenyatta D. Henry stopped at a Steelton corner store to buy snacks when he was shot and killed earlier this week , officials told PennLive.

Senior Prosecutor Steve Zawisky said the routine visit to the store with his brother proved deadly. He did not reveal a possible motive.

Around 6 p.m. Wednesday, family and friends gathered in Steelton to release balloons in honor of 26-year-old Henry, a former Steelton-Highspire High School football player who graduated in 2017.

The group of more than 50 came together at South Harrisburg and Locust streets, about two blocks away from where Henry and his brother were shot Tuesday afternoon .

Henry’s brother, whose name and age have not been released, is recovering in the hospital. His condition is unknown.
