The Special Crime Wing Srinagar (Crime Branch Kashmir) on Thursday carried out searches at multiple locations in Awantipora and Kulgam districts in connection with ongoing investigations into job fraud cases.

According to officials, the searches are being conducted in connection with Case FIR No. 06/2025 under sections 420, 468, 471 IPC and FIR No. 07/2025 under sections 420, 468, 471 RPC, both registered at the Special Crime Wing Srinagar. The cases pertain to allegations of job fraud and cheating by the accused persons.

The operation is presently underway at the residential premises of Shakeel Ahmad Makroo, a resident of Awantipora Pulwama, and Farooq Ahmad Thokar of Sehpora, Kulgam.
