Menards is inviting the community to help fight hunger throughout October.

The home improvement store is serving as a drop site for a local food pantry, according to a community announcement.

Customers can donate non-perishable food items, such as cereal and soup, which are available in the store's grocery department. A large collection box is located near the exit doors for donations.

The food drive runs from Oct. 1 until Oct. 31.
