Section of A1 northbound closed following vehicle fire near Grantham

The remains closed northbound near due to a vehicle fire. northbound at around 7.30am on Thursday, October 9 due to the incident.

There were initially reports of 20 minute delays and motorists were advised to check their routes before travelling. A diversion route remains in place.

The emergency services attended the scene, including Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue. The vehicle fire has since been put out, and the National Highways area team is currently on the scene for clear-up works.

The northbound stretch of road remains closed between the B1174 at Little Ponton and the A607 at Grantham. There are currently no reported delays on the approach.
