EXCLUSIVE : Signature Entertainment has acquired UK and Irish rights to dinosaur-fuelled action-adventure Primitive War from Sparke Films.

Pic stars Ryan Kwanten ( True Blood ), Jeremy Piven ( Entourage ), Tricia Helfer ( Battlestar Galactica ) and Nick Wechsler (The Boys).

Set in 1968, deep in the jungles of Vietnam, a recon unit ventures into an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing platoon—only to find themselves fighting for survival against an unexpected enemy: prehistoric dinosaurs.

The film had a US theatrical release earlier this year following a panel and trailer launch at San Diego Comic Con – a first for an Australian production. Signature will release in UK and Irish cinemas later this year.
