STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Restaurateur Peter Macri is bringing Latin flavors to Staten Island’s South Shore with his newest venture, Todo Bien, primed to open at 4221 Hylan Blvd. in Great Kills.

Macri—who operates three successful restaurants across the borough—will partner with Anthony Mentesana and his brother, Sal Macri, to transform the former Portobello Café into a vibrant new destination.

“There are so many Italian restaurants on Staten Island,” Macri said. “We wanted to do something different. Todo Bien will have a beautiful menu, a beautiful vibe — wait until you see this restaurant.”

The name Todo Bien translates to “everything’s good” in Spanish, echoing the meaning of Macri’s Richmond Valley restaurant Tutto Apposto and reflecting his philosophy of hospitality and optimism. While
