1CATONSVILLE, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department is again asking the public for help in solving the nearly six-decade-old homicide of Hans Stroehla , a 68-year-old man who was beaten, robbed, and left for dead in Catonsville in 1966.
Investigators say Stroehla was walking west on Frederick Road in the early morning hours of October 5, 1966, when three unidentified men in a sedan offered him a ride.
Around 3 a.m., a truck driver discovered Stroehla lying off the side of River and Thistle Road, badly beaten and unconscious.
He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with severe injuries to his head and body.
