County Council approves purchase agreements for preservation easements

Frederick County Council members voted on Tuesday for the county to enter into agricultural preservation easements on two private properties, increasing the county’s preservation footprint.

Through the county’s installment purchase program, which was created in 2002 for farmland preservation, the county purchases easements through installment purchase agreements.
