WATERTOWN — The Watertown Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at 45 Cobb St related to an animal hoarding investigation on Tuesday, Set. 30, at around 7 a.m.. The investigation was led by Watertown Police Department’s Animal Control Officer Emily Mosakowski, with the assistance of Watertown Police Department Detective Avelina Rivera. Numerous surrounding animal control units assisted with the execution of the search warrant and the transportation and housing of the seized animals.

The department removed seven adult dogs, 18 puppies, and 25 cats and kittens from the residence, for a total of 50 animals. The home owner, Martin Oliver, born April 17, 1973, was charged with 50 counts of Cruelty to Animals. He was issued a court date of Oct. 14, 2025 at Waterbury Superior C
