Alvin Githai, 43, was charged with the murder of Vivienne Baraka yesterday (October 8) and is due in court today.
Police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman in Riverside Close around 3.15pm on March 26.
Officers arrived with paramedics to find 35-year-old Vivienne suffering from injuries.
She died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination showed she died from compression to the neck.
Githai was arrested at the scene before being released under investigation.
He was then re-arrested and charged on October 8.
