Larry “Juice” Shunji Isemoto, 97, of Hilo died Sept. 22 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired general contractor, board chairman of Isemoto Contracting Co. Ltd., 1946 Hilo High School graduate, past president of Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hawaii, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Hawaii Community Foundation, Japanese Community Association, East Hawaii Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, University Heights Kumiai, recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun 5th Class, Gold and Silver Rays and U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers or koden (monetary gifts).
