LIHUE — Work on Phase I of the Kuhio Highway (Hardy-Oxford) Waterline Project is ready to start during the project blessing that was held on Oct. 3, hosted by the Department of Water, Contractor Alpha, Inc., and Construction Manager Bowers + Kubota.

Phase I is scheduled to start in October, and Phase II will start in December for the project that involves the replacement of aging water main infrastructure to meet current Water System Standards, including fire flow requirements.
