The Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed some cuts to Shane Nigam's pan-Indian film ‘Soul of Haal’. The main direction is to remove the scene of eating beef biryani. The board also directed to remove references like Dhwaja Pranamam, Sangham Kavalundu, Rakhi, Ganapathivattom. The board also asked to remove the scene of the heroine wearing a purdah.

The Censor Board has asked to remove 15 scenes from the film. The CBFC's stand is to given an A certificate for the film. Meantime, the film's producers have approached the high court against the board’s action.
