Bridgerton's India Amarteifio has revealed she has been cast in upcoming BBC drama The Rapture and is relishing the "massive challenge".

The actress, who gained recognition for her leading role in the Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story , will appear alongside Doctor Who 's Ruth Madeley, Gavin and Stacey favourite Ruth Jones, Game of Thrones ' Iwan Rheon and Poldark's Jack Farthing in the production.

The five-part drama is adapted from Liz Jensen's bestselling novel and has been described as "a high-stakes thriller which crackles with danger".
