WAYNE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A theft suspect remains at large after leading Creston police on a chase and “intentionally” slamming into a cruiser.
Creston Police Chief Christopher Millhorn said officers responded to a report of a theft at True Value Hardware on Tuesday.
A Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy was already on scene.
When the officer arrived, the suspect’s vehicle was spotted fleeing the area.
The officer pursued the vehicle and during the pursuit Chief Millhorn said the driver came to a stop and reversed into the cruiser, disabling the vehicle.
The suspect then fled and remains at large.
The officer was not injured.
