A man is dead after a barricade situation turned into an officer-involved shooting in Dundalk Wednesday night.

Baltimore County police said they responded to a home in the 2100 block of Larkhall Road around 8:30 p.m. for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found an armed man in the window of the home. During the encounter, six officers responded to the actions of the man, resulting in the discharging of their firearms and striking the man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers or other members of the public were injured during the incident.

Police said the barricade ended around 2 a.m. A firearm was recovered from the scene.

The Independent Investigations Division with the Office of the Attorney General is investigating the incident.
