Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party on Thursday released its first list of 51 candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, scheduled to be held next month. The list covers 51 constituencies across 26 districts, marking the party's formal entry into the state's electoral arena.

Kishor, however, was not present at the press conference where the announcement was made. The briefing was addressed by party's national president Udai Singh and Bihar unit president Manoj Bharti, who unveiled the names of the candidates and outlined the party's campaign plans.

Singh said Kishor is expected to launch the Jan Suraaj Party's election campaign on October 11 from Raghopur, the assembly constituency of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

"We will soon release the list of candidates for other seats.
