A 15-year-old boy is facing criminal charges after police say they linked him to hateful graffiti found at Marblehead High School.
The boy, whose name was not released, is charged with two counts of vandalism to property, tagging property and a civil rights violation, Police Chief Dennis King said in a statement.
On Monday and Tuesday, police learned of two incidents of hateful graffiti at Marblehead High School. The graffiti included a racial slur and antisemitic symbols, police said.
Police believe only the 15-year-old was involved in the graffiti. There is no threat to the safety of staff or students at the school, police said.
