Andy Firth has seen Steven Gerrard at the height of his powers and his lowest ebb. ‌

But the former Ibrox keeper reckons he’s the perfect man to pick Rangers up off the floor. ‌

Former Liverpool kid Firth joined Gerrard in Glasgow in 2019 to act as back-up for Allan McGregor. ‌

While he only ever played one game for the Light Blues, Firth became a cult figure for supporters after expressing his love for his adopted club.

His relationship with Gerrard continued when he followed the ex-England skipper to Saudi Arabia to become part of his back-room team at Al-Ettifaq.

It proved to be a difficult spell for the Anfield legend, who quit his post in the Middle East after a tough two year spell. ‌
