Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attended singer Rajvir Jawanda’s funeral in Pona, the singer’s native village near Jagraon in Ludhiana. The chief minister paid tribute and offered condolences to Jawanda’s family. He later shared his thoughts on social media, reflecting on the singer’s influence and the loss felt by many in Punjab’s music community.

Jawanda died at the age of 35 on October 8, after battling for his life for 11 days in hospital. He suffered severe injuries in a major road accident near Baddi , Himachal Pradesh, on September 27, 2025, and was treated at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. The hospital announced the news, and tributes have come in from across Punjab. The loss has left the Punjabi music community and his fans in mourning.
