Days after Gujarat got its new BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, a scuffle broke out between BJP worker Dinesh Savaliya from Ward No 2 and party treasurer Shailesh Jariwala at the Surat party headquarters on Wednesday evening. A video of the fight soon went viral on social media.

Following the incident, Surat BJP president Paresh Patel issued notices to both leaders, asking them to respond within three days. Jariwala also filed a police complaint against Savaliya.

Earlier that day, Patel had held a meeting with party leaders and workers at the Udhna office to discuss an upcoming event. After the meeting ended, Savaliya was sitting in the waiting room with three friends.
