Miles Heizer is leading a powerful new Netflix series, which premieres today (October 9) on the streamer.

The 30-year-old actor stars in Boots , a coming-of-age dramedy inspired by Greg Cope White ’s memoir The Pink Marine .

Originally known as The Corps , the series is also the final project from legendary producer Norman Lear , who passed away in 2023 at the age of 101.

The show follows closeted teen Cameron Cope and his best friend Ray McAffey as they enter Marine Corps boot camp in 1990.
