During UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's visit to India, the issue of Khalistani extremism was discussed in detail in his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said.

"PM Modi emphasised that radicalism and violent extremism have no space in democratic societies and should not be allowed to use or abuse the freedoms provided by societies. There was a need to move against them within the legal framework available on both sides," Misri added.

Misri described the visit as "truly a partnership for the people", highlighting that India and the UK are working together on multiple fronts to benefit citizens of both countries.
