The Madhya Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2025 has drawn nearly 9.5 lakh applicants for just 7,500 posts, revealing a growing jobs crisis in the state. What’s surprising is that the eligibility required is only Class 10 (high school) — yet among the applicants are 52,000 postgraduates, 33,000 graduates, 12,000 engineers, and even around 50 PhD holders.
The recruitment exam is scheduled for October 30, with two shifts — one from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and another from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
WHY ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED CANDIDATES APPLYING?
For many educated youth in Madhya Pradesh, the constable exam is not about the role but job security. Candidates say the lack of stable employment opportunities is forcing even degree-holders to take up Class 10-level posts.
