Businessman Mark Cuban was set to speak Thursday at a 32BJ SEIU conference aimed at tackling rising hospital costs, calling for greater transparency in health care pricing.

Before the event, Cuban told “Mornings On 1” that patients often have no idea what they are paying for medications or hospital care.

“Nobody likes how they pay for their health care. Nobody knows the cost of their medications. Nobody knows what it's going to cost if they have to, God forbid, go to the hospital,” he said.

Cuban highlighted his "Cost Plus" pharmacy, which shows the true cost of drugs and applies a flat 15% markup to make prescriptions more affordable.
