Alabama Secretary of State hopeful and former 2nd congressional district candidate Caroleene Dobson thanked Mobile voters for supporting Mayor-elect Spiro Cheriogotis in an outcome that she claims is “saving the future of this state.”

Dobson, during the end of her speech Monday during a Mobile County GOP event, thanked her fellow Republicans for “saving the future of this state by defeating Barbara Drummond.”

“I know this room was split in the mayor’s race and there were some wonderful people running, but I admire that you all came together to save this state,” Dobson said. “Thank you.”
