The Princess of Wales has offered a suggestion to parents: put down their phones.

Kate spoke about the importance of putting down screens around kids in a personal essay released on Thursday, titled The Power of Human Connection in a Distracted World .

"Look the people you care about in the eye and be fully there - because that is where love begins," she said.

The mum-of-three collaborated with adult development researcher Robert Waldinger to warn that technology is contributing to an epidemic of disconnection that's hurting family relationships.
