BROOKLYN, Ohio -- Famous for its ButterBurgers, cheese curds and frozen custard, Wisconsin-based Culver’s has started construction on a new restaurant on vacant land west of Tiedeman Road in Brooklyn.

“It’s behind Cracker Barrel, just north of El Palenque and behind Carrabba’s Italian Grill, in front of the KeyBank facilities,” Mayor Ron Van Kirk said.

“It was actually supposed to originally be a Skyline Chili after they moved out of Ridge Park Square.”

Brooklyn Economic Development and Planning Director Jeremy Rowan said the new 4,180-square-foot fast-food building is located on a 1.75-acre plot.

The restaurant will seat 95 patrons and have a drive-thru.
