Former United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson praised the spirit of American freedom in his address to Liberty University students at convocation Wednesday.
Johnson served as U.K.’s prime minister and led its Conservative Party from 2019 to 2022. He was also a prominent figure in campaigning for Brexit, the withdrawal of the U.K. from the European Union in 2020 following a June 2016 referendum.
Johnson resigned as prime minister in 2022 due to his appointment of Chris Pincher as deputy chief whip despite awareness of Pincher’s sexual misconduct allegations.
