Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday called for US President Donald Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The Israeli PM also posted an AI-generated photo of him awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump on his official social media account.

“Give Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize – he deserves it,” Netanyahu wrote on X.

Netanyahu’s post comes close on the heels of Israel and Hamas accepting the first phase of the Gaza peace plan. The 20-point peace plan, which was proposed by Trump, is aimed at ending the two-year war in Gaza that has claimed more than 67,000 lives.
