Despite being in politics for over 10 years, Jana Sena Party president and Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan hasn’t so far spoken the typical rhetoric of politicians, like “I shall serve the people till the last drop of my blood,” or “I will quit politics, if necessary, to render justice,” etc.

But on Thursday, Pawan Kalyan sounded like a typical politician, while addressing the fishermen community at Kakinada collectorate.

He promised to protect the interests of fishermen who are suffering from frequent erosion of coast wiping out their villages.

Highlighting the livelihood concerns of local fishermen, the deputy CM noted that around 7,193 families in the region depend entirely on fishing.

“I will stand by the fishing community and ensure their welfare,” he said.
