Oakland County commissioners remain unclear on what happens next after a road commissioner threatened to harm an employee during a June 20 confrontation.
An independent investigation found that Road Commissioner Jim Esshaki violated workplace harassment rules during the incident. Esshaki declined to be interviewed for the investigation.
The report found Esshaki violated the workplace conduct policy by:
• his behavior and comments, which constituted a threat of violence against the employee, considered intimidation and harassment.
