A Pontiac man accused of shooting at his girlfriend and her child and then released from custody after a magistrate set a personal bond for him — drawing criticism from Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard — must now come up with cash or surety to stay out of jail after a district judge changed his bond.

But the bond conditions, requiring Robertlee Rogers to post $1,500 cash or surety and giving him two weeks to come up with it, are a far cry from what the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office had sought.
