The city of Shillong is in mourning following the heartbreaking discovery of seven-year-old boy, who had been missing since Wednesday afternoon. His body was recovered earlier today from a forested area near Mawpat, close to NEIGRIHMS, in what police have confirmed as a case of homicide.

The child, a resident of Nongrah, had gone missing on Wednesday, triggering an overnight search involving his family, local volunteers, and the police. The tragic discovery was made at approximately 10:30 AM on Thursday by a passerby near Lum Rumnong, prompting an immediate police and forensic response.
